Dog Evolutions by LevelEdit
The Dog begins as a typical Riding Dog.
- Level 3—Blink Dog - The riding dog gains the special attacks and qualities of the blink dog.
- Evil: Level 5—Hell Hound - If evil, the blink dog gains the special attacks and qualities of the hell hound.
- Level 10—The hell hound grows in size to large.
- Level 17—Nessian Warhound - The hell hound gains the special attacks and qualities of the nessian war hound.
- Good: Level 7—Hound Archon - If good, the blink dog gains the special attacks and qualities of the hound archon.
- Level 11—The hound archon begins taking levels in Paladin (continuous), but can never gain a paladin's special mount.
Personal EvolutionsEdit
- I. low-light vision or scent
- II. darkvision 60ft
- III. natural weapon: bite
- IV. fiery bite (bite, hell hound)
- V. change shape (archon)
- VI. auxiliary appendage: elemental gland
- VII. breath weapon fire (hell hound, elemental gland), aura of menace (archon)
- VIII. immunity to fire (hell hound) or electricity (archon)
- IX. dimension door
Feature DefinitionsEdit
Fiery Bite: Every bite does the same damage as a Hell Hound's fiery bite.
Change Shape: This is a once/day feature that acts exactly the same as a hound archon's ability to change its shape.
Elemental Gland: All natural attacks gain +1d6 magic damage of a chosen elemental type. This elemental type is a permanent choice, but has no bearing on the types of breath weapons that may be gained later.
Breath Weapon Fire: This ability is usable once every 2d4 rounds and functions exactly the same way as the ability of a hell hound.
Aura of Menace: This functions exactly the same way as the same ability of a hound archon.
Dimension Door: This is a once/day ability that functions like the spell dimension door.
