This curved sword is marked with three holes. When the fighting starts, snowballs begin to fill these voids.
This +1 frost rapier has three empty holes within. With every successful killing blow with this weapon, it generates a charge in the form of a snowball to a maximum of 3 charges, which can be used for any of the following:
- Conjure Snowman Sentry: Expend 3 charges as a 1 round action to create a snowman sentry for 24 hours, or for 3 hours for the advanced spell slot option. You may only have a single sentry in effect at one time, with new instances replacing old ones.
- Conjure Snowman Slave: Expend 3 charges as a 1 round action to create a hostile snowman under your control identical to a bugbear zombie with no equipment, the [Cold] subtype (and immunities and vulnerabilities within), and extra +1d6 cold damage on its slam attack, and an extra +1 natural armor. You may only have a single snowman slave in effect at one time, with new instances replacing old ones.
- Snowball Launch: As an attack action you may make a ranged touch attack out to 100 ft, dealing 2d6 + your highest mental ability modifier in cold damage to a target. Each attack expends 1 charge.
Snowballs persist until used, but in temperatures about 90 degrees snowballs melt away at the rate of 1 per hour. It also melts 1 snowball if you take more than 20 fire damage in a single hit. In temperatures below freezing, it instead regenerates a free snowball in empty slots at the rate of 1 per hour, or if you take more than 20 cold damage in a single hit.
