Gatomato[edit]

Gatomati are small cat-like creatures, who possess magical properties of fairies.

Personality[edit]

They are usually sweet and chill, very curious and loving of fun activities and relax, though some of them have a more mischievious side,

Physical Description[edit]

They resemble cat-like creatures, with very round bodies, big oval eyes, short limbs, pointed ears, a tail of various sizes, and a big smile (or grin). Fur covers completely their body and it may come in any color a normal cat would, though more exotic or even supernatural patterns exist.

They are bipedal and can manipulate items normally with their forelimbs.

Relations[edit]

Very childish in behaviour, and lazy, they are the favorite of gnomes and halflings, and to a certain extent to elves and humans, especially due to their cuteness. More rigid races or less inclined to humor are less friendly to them.

Alignment[edit]

Any, though most of them are chaotic and neutral.

Lands[edit]

They leave in meadows, small forests and in similar cozy, natural areas. They are also found in villages and cities, some having become more urban in their lifestyle.

Religion[edit]

Usually they follow nature spirits, but not very deeply. Some are devoted to gods of pleasure and jokes, or even thievery and mischief.

Language[edit]

They usually speak Silvan and Common, and learn a good deal of other common languages.

Names[edit]

Their naming convention resemble titles, usually describing them physically, in character or from their deeds. Some add a name-like epitet, usually a mash-up of sylllables, like Totoro.

Racial Traits[edit]

  • Fey (Spiritfolk): This feline-shaped feys are minor mystical creatures.
  • Small: As a Small creature, a gatomato gains a +1 size bonus to Armor Class, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –4 size penalty on special attack (bull rushes, grapples, overruns, and trips) checks, and a +4 size bonus on Hide checks, but it uses smaller weapons than humans use, and its lifting and carrying limits are three-quarters of those of a Medium character.
  • Gatomato base land speed is 20 feet.
  • Low-Light Vision: A gatomato can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
  • Locomagika (Su): As most fey creatures do, gatomati have a few tricks up their sleeve. Three times per day they may replicate, on themselves only, any of the following spells as supernatural abilities: enfluffen, human form[1] and longtall. Their caster level for these abilities is equal to their HD.
  • Transmutative Prowess: They add a +1 to the DC of transmutation magic or effects they use, and a +4 to saves against such effects.
  • Nice and Easy (Ex): Due to their innate cuteness they have the adorable trait and, once per day, may purr as a full-round action while touching someone affected by their trait to put them under the effect of a calm emotions spell (DC to resist is 10 + half their HD + their Charisma modifier). Caster level is equal to their HD.
  • Automatic Languages: Common and Silvan
  • Bonus Languages: Elven, Feline, Gnome, Halfling
  • Favored Class: Wizard
  • Level Adjustment: +0
  • Effective Character Level: 1
