Golem ArmorEdit
This ultra-heavy armor hails from the Azer nation of Dwarrowhelm, combining the esoterics of alchemic golemcraft with armorsmithing. A phalanx of warriors in Golem Armor will not fall to a thousand spears.

A suit of Golem Armor consists of a reinforced leather underlay to which thick black iron interlocking plates are firmly riveted. The golem armor consists of breast-and-back with interlocking pauldrons, faulds, cuisses, vambraces, gauntlets and boots. The inside of the armor is treated with various alchemical circles that aid in motion. Even so, a minimum of 19 Strength is required to wear this armor without penalty. Not meeting this prerequisite makes you count as nonproficient with the armor. Golem armor is always masterwork; price and benefits are subsumed in the above statistics.
The golem armor provides the following benefits when worn, on top of its general protective capabilities:
- Golem armor counts as a masterwork skill tool for the Intimidate skill.
- You gain DR 5/-.
- You have 50% fortification against critical hits. This counts as the fortification quality at an inherent +2 bonus that the armor has despite being non-magical. As such, increasing the fortification quality of this armor requires enhancing it to magic armor first, costing an additional 12,000 gp (turning it into a +1 armor of moderate fortification) or 32,000 gp (turning it into a +1 armor of heavy fortification).
- You gain a +4 bonus on any Strength-based checks.
Craft (armorsmithing and alchemy) DC 34. Market Price 8,500 gp.
