Molten Steel Stream
Conjuration (Creation) / Evocation [Fire]
Level: Sorcerer/Wizard 8, Wu Jen (Metal) 8
Components: V, S
Casting time: 1 Standard Action
Range: 120 ft.
Area: 120-ft. line
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Reflex Half (see text)
Spell Resistance: No

This spell allows you to fire a stream of molten superheated conjured metal at high velocity. All creatures within the area take 1d6 point of bludgeoning damage per two caster level and 1d6 points of fire damage per two caster level. A successful Reflex save halves the damage. Creatures that fail their Reflex save catch on fire, taking 4d6 points of fire damage each round until the flames are extinguished. Extinguishing the flames is a full-round action that requires a DC 20 Reflex save.

If the stream is interrupted by an obstacle, or aimed at the ground, it leaves a pool of molten steel which lasts until it cools off normally (usually after 1 hour). The pool of molten metal is difficult terrain, and is treated as lava except that it deals double damage (4d6 for contact, 2d6 for lingering damage).
