Righteous Rager[edit]
“ | Smite and Cleave your guts! You are huge so you have huge guts! Smite and Cleave! | ” |
—Unknown Righteous Rager |
Sometimes a paladin witnesses something so abhorrently evil, so horrifying and so disgusting that he loses his will to fight. Some recover it and keep going on the path of the righteous, others will fall and either become washed out drunks and wanderers or turn into blackguards. Some however are filled with righteous anger, like a stark white flame of fury and unleash that anger on the deserving. This is the path of the righteous rager.

Class Features[edit]
All of the following are class features of the Righteous Rager.
Spellcasting: At each, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in the paladin class. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained.
Righteous Wrath (Su): A righteous rager may rage as an immediate action whenever she sees a creature perform an evil act.
Barbarian Ability (Ex): Levels in wrathful brawler count as levels in barbarian (or whichever class granted you rage) for the purpose of the number of rages per day you receive, and the bonuses received during rage, gaining greater, tireless and mighty rage as appropriate. You do not gain any other benefits of the barbarian class such as trap sense, damage reduction class features.
The righteous rager retains her barbarian’s rage while lawful and may still gain levels in barbarian despite raging
Paladin Abilities: A Righteous Rager may add his levels of righteous rager to his paladin level to determine the power of any of his paladin class features and the number of times per day/encounter he may use those class features. He does not receive any new class features however.
The righteous rager retains her paladin’s ability as long as she remains good-aligned, instead of lawful good.
Blessed Fury (Su): A 2nd level righteous rager automatically fall under the effect of bless and any weapon he wield fall under the effect of bless weapon while raging.
Die you Monster! (Ex): A 2nd level righteous rager can use the demoralize opponent ability as a swift action against evil creatures.
Cleave and Smite (Ex): If a 3rd level righteous rager manages to drop an evil creature with his smite attack he gains an immediate cleave as per the feat, but only against another evil creature. If he possess the cleave feat and then slay an evil creature with his smite attack, if he cleaves into an evil creature his cleave attack deals double damage.
Extra Smite: At 3rd level and each odd level thereafter the righteous rager gains an additional use of smite evil, this is in addition to the additional uses he gains from paladin abilities.
Whirlwind of Smite (Ex): As a full-round action a 4th level righteous rager can make a whirlwind attack as the feat and apply her smite evil on all attacks made as part of this whirlwind attack, this only consumes a single use of smite evil. If the righteous rager already possess whirlwind attack he may make a second attack at a -5 penalty.
Fire of Fury (Su): When a 6th level righteous rager successfully smite an evil creature while raging he may call down a column of fire from the heavens as per flame strike, using his base attack bonus as caster level. He is immune to the effect of his own Fire of Fury.
Wrath of the Gods: A 8th level righteous rager can spend 1 use of rage as a swift action to deal 1d6 points of damage per character level to all adjacent foes. All damage creatures must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + class level + Constitution or Charisma modifier) or move 10-ft away from the righteous rage and fall prone. A successful save halves the damage dealt.
All-Smiter: A 10th level righteous rager becomes a paragon of anger and the destruction of the unrighteous. When he entered a rage he designated a single evil creature as the subject of his wrath. Any smite attack against this creature does not count against his daily limit of smiting.
