This crystal stylized symbol of an eye has an hourglass instead of a pupil. Pictures on the back show that it's made to be placed on one's forehead.
When placed upon a character's forehead, spikes come out of the back of the eye and plunge theirselves into the wearer's brain.
Whenever the wearer would fall unconscious, go to sleep, or die, instead that character immediately benefits from a time regression, although they only lose 300 XP. This loss of XP can reduce the character's level; if it reduces the character to 0 or less XP, they turn into a wraith. Creatures who are immune to level drain are immune to this effect, but they don't gain its benefits. If a creature who doesn't need to sleep would trigger the time regression, there's an 80% chance that the effect fails to activate.
The Third Eye of Forced Regression is difficult to remove, requiring a DC 25 Strength check to do so. Removing the Eye kills the wearer, which triggers the time regression.
Prerequisites: Craft Universal Item, time regression, manifester level 19.
