Greathide can only be created from the hides of creatures with unusually thick natural armor, at least 8 or above.  Skins are layered over each other like a flexible poncho or kilt, with bone structures for support in key areas.  Generic greathide is made out of a patchwork of animal parts, but greathide gains a few benefits of crafted out of specific hides, as follows.

When struck by an alignment specific attack (such as smite evil) you have a 50% chance of treating yourself as good aligned for 1 round.  You gain a +2 circumstance bonus on Intimidate against Good subtyped creatures, and a -2 Diplomacy penalty.<br>
