|benefit=By taking a &minus;3 penalty on your attack roll, you can attack targets three times your reach away as if attacking in melee. Your actual reach does not change, nor does your threatened area, but this permits you to strike at creatures otherwise outside of your reach. The attack has all the properties of your weapon. For each &minus;3 penalty beyond the first, you can increase the range by two times more (&times;5, &times;7, &times;9, and so forth), up to your BAB.
|example=A medium fighter swings his flaming greatsword with a &minus;6 penalty. His 5-foot reach allows him to attack 25 feet away (5&times;5). If he used a lance (10-foot reach), his attack range becomes 50 feet (10&times;5).
