Pyroclastic gaschts carry a powerful blazing column as a weapon, and for most this is sufficient to fight opponents.  They are more clever and intelligent than elementals of their size, and understand the need to employ tactics in the face of overwhelming odds.  Using its ability to see through fog and smoke enables it to acquire a terrain advantage, and it is no stranger to fighting blind as well if it means its enemies suffer along with it.

As it is part of the elemental, when the pyroclastic gascht dies the blade also snuffs out. There is a 5% chance that upon death the blazing column does not vanish and persists after death.

Halve the time in windy conditions.  Once dispersed the material is effectively lost, blown to the wind.  The material can be saved if the effect is dispelled before then.  

Living creatures can be sublimated with a touch and a failed DC 21 [[Fortitude]] save (save negates).  They can continue to act as per ''gaseous form'' and can use a standard action each round to make the saving throw again before they vanish.
