This functions as ''null barrier I'', except that the amount of maximum damage prevented is 20 + twice caster level (no maximum) and you gain 50% miss chance against ranged physical attacks for the duration. Instead of gaining temporary hit point you may elect to heal half the amount of damage prevented, gaining any above your maximum health as temporary hit points (following the same rule as the temporary hit points normally granted by this spell). This spell can be undercast.
