If you have [[Combat Expertise]], your AC bonus from the feat counts as a shield bonus for the purpose of Parry and Counter; if you have [[Combat Reflexes]], you may make additional counters as you may make attacks of opportunity; if you have [[Improved Shield Bash]] you may use the shield to perform the counter.
