The subject of this spell must succeed on a [[Will]] save or else believe they were turned into an animal or object. On a failed save, the subject believe that it has been transformed into a small or smaller [[SRD:Animal Type|animal]] (or vermin) of no more than 1 [[SRD:Hit Dice|HD]] (such as a [[SRD:Dog|dog]], [[SRD:Lizard|lizard]], [[SRD:Monkey|monkey]], or [[SRD:Toad|toad]]) or into a tiny [[SRD:Animated Object|animated object]], the form is chosen when the spell is cast. For the duration of the spell, the subject cannot take any action that the chosen form would be unable to perform, but it cannot take any action the form would be able to take if its original body cannot do so.

By example most subjects would be unable to use its weapon or cast spells, but they could still use supernatural and spell-like abilities. 

If placed in mortal danger, or attacked, the subject is allowed a new [[Will]] save to break the effect.
