This spell functions like ''[[SRD:Produce Flame|produce flame]]'', except it deals acid damage and the damage cap is +10 at 10th level.  On a successful attack (melee or ranged) a creature must succeed on a Fortitude save or have their skin softened, reducing their AC by -2 for the duration.  They only need save once per round, and the penalty does not stack with itself.  Healing up to full hp ends the penalty early.

If held against an object for 1 round, the acid begins to eat away at the object more effectively than normal.  It ignores an amount of hardness equal to your caster level (maximum 10 at 10th) making it effective at melting through obstructions with time.

The spell functions fine underwater, unlike ''produce flame''.
