Arachnomancer Weaves[edit]

The following are Arachane Powers for the Arachnomancer base class.

Level 1 At-Will Weaves[edit]

Lesser Swarm
Arachnomancer Attack 1
Calling upon your brother-spiders, you summon a swarm of vicious spiders to devour your foes.
At-Will ✦ Arcane, Poison, Summoning, Implement, Zone
Standard Action Area burst 2 within 10 squares
Target: Each creature within burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 1d4 + Charisma modifier poison damage.
Effect: The power’s area creates a zone filled with a swarm of vicious spiders. Any creature that enters the zone or starts its turn there takes poison damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). The swarm remains in place until the end of your next turn.


Retriever's Eye
Arachnomancer Attack 1
You open your hand, revealing a shiny, black eye, throwing a bolt of arachane power at your foe.
At-Will ✦ Arachane, Fire or Cold or Lightning
Standard Action Ranged 20
Target: One creature
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 2d4 + Charisma modifier damage.
Effect: When you use this power, choose either fire, cold or lightning. Your choice determines the damage type of this power.
Increase damage to 4d4 + Charisma modifier at 21st level.
Special: This power counts as a ranged basic attack. When a power allows you to make a ranged basic attack, you can use this power.


Spydric Tide
Arachnomancer Attack 1
A mass of deadly spiders stampedes over your foes.
At-Will ✦ Arachane, Poison, Summoning, Implement
Standard Action Close blast 3
Target: Each creature in blast
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 1d6 + Charisma modifier damage, and ongoing 2 damage (save ends).


Summon Lesser Spider
Arachnomancer Attack 1
You create a gate into the great web, calling a lesser spider to aid you in battle.
At-Will ✦ Arachane, Poison, Summoning, Implement
Standard Action Ranged 10
Target: One creature adjacent to the spider
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 1d8 + Charisma modifier poison damage.
Effect: You summon a medium-sized spider in an unoccupied square within range, and the spider attacks. As a move action, you can move the spider up to 8 squares. The spider remains until the end of your next turn.
Sustain Standard: The spider makes another attack against a creature adjacent to it. You can move it with a move action (as above) before it makes its attack.


Toxic Bolt
Arachnomancer Attack 1
You hurl a bolt of spider poison into the heart of your foe.
At-Will ✦ Arachane, Poison, Implement
Standard Action Area burst 1 within 10 squares
Target: Each creature in burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 1d6 + Charisma modifier poison damage.
Increase damage to 2d6 + Charisma modifier at 21st level.

A green bolt shoots out of your hand, piercing the flesh of your foe and sickening him.

Horde of Spiders

A seething tide of your spydric allies flows out from under you.

Retriever's Burning Gaze
Arachnomancer Attack 1
You raise your hand, revealing a burning eye, its gaze engulfing your foes in a burning inferno.

Standard Action Ranged 20
Primary Target: One creature or object
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 2d8 + Charisma modifier fire damage. Make a secondary attack.
Secondary Target: Each enemy adjacent to the primary target.
Secondary Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 1d10 + Charisma modifier fire damage.


Web
Arachnomancer Attack 1
You create a web of arachane power, trapping your foes within its sticky strands.
Encounter ✦ Arachane, Necrotic, Radiant, Zone, Implement
Standard Action Area burst 1 within 10 squares
Target: Each creature in burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 1d6 + Charisma modifier damage, and the target is restrained until the start of your next turn.
Effect: If your alignment is good, then the damage dealt by this power is radiant damage. If your alignment is chaotic evil, then the damage dealt by this power is necrotic damage. The power's area creates a zone of webs that fills the area until the end of your next turn. The zone is considered difficult terrain.


Level 1 Daily Weaves[edit]

Retriever's Icy Gaze
Arachnomancer Attack 1
You gaze is so cold your foe begins to freeze to death.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Cold, Implement
Standard Action Area burst 2 within 10 squares
Target: Each creature in burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 1d8 + Charisma modifier cold damage.
Miss: Half Damage.
Effect: The area you target remains freezing cold until the end of your next turn. Any creature that enters the area or ends its turn there is subject to another attack. You can dismiss this effect as a minor action.


Spydric Infestation
Arachnomancer Attack 1
You hurl a bolt of green energy at a foe. He convulses, a seething mass of black spiders bursting from his mouth. The mass swarm around nearby creatures, viciously attacking them.

Standard Action Ranged 20
Primary Target: One creature
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 2d8 + Charisma modifier poison damage, and ongoing 5 poison damage (save ends). Make a secondary attack.
Miss: Half damage, and ongoing 2 poison damage (save ends), and no secondary attack.
Secondary Target: Each creature adjacent to the primary target.
Secondary Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 1d8 + Charisma modifier poison damage, and ongoing 5 poison damage (save ends).


Swarming Death
Arachnomancer Attack 1
A seething mass of vicious spiders swarms around your foes, moving as you direct.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Poison, Summoning
Standard Action Ranged 10
Target: One creature adjacent to the spider swarm
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 2d6 + Charisma modifier poison damage.
Effect: You summon a large sized spider swarm in an unoccupied space within range, and the swarm attacks an adjacent creature. Any creature that starts it's turn next to the spider swarm takes 1d4 + Charisma modifier poison damage. As a move action you can move the spider swarm up to 6 squares.
Sustain Minor: You can sustain this power until the end of the encounter. As a standard action, you can make another attack with the spider swarm.

Effect: You gain a +4 power bonus to AC and Fortitude defense until the end of your next turn.


Spydre Jump
Arachnomancer Utility 2
You or an ally gain the blessing of the saltacid.

Target: You or one creature
Effect: The target makes an athletics check to jump with a +10 power bonus, and the target does not have to move to make a running jump.

Level 3 Encounter Weaves[edit]

Dark Lair of the Spydre
Arachnomancer Attack 3
Your foes fall into a deep pit, within which is an eight-legged creature of death.

Retriever's Eye of Lightning
Arachnomancer Attack 3
A bolt of lightning shoots out of your eye, throwing your foe backwards.

Hit: 1d8 + Charisma modifier lightning damage, and the target is pushed a number of squares equal to your Charisma modifier and is dazed.


Sea of the Arachnida

Waves upon waves of seething spiders flow out from you, engulfing your foes.

Level 5 Daily Weaves[edit]

Eye of the Retriever

The power of the eye of the retriever brings death to your enemies.

Standard Action Area burst 3 within 20 squares
Target: Each creature in burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 3d6 + Charisma modifier damage.
Miss: Half Damage.
Effect: Choose either fire, cold or lightning. The damage dealt by this power is of the damage type you chose.


Summon Spider
Arachnomancer Attack 5
You summon one of your spydric allies from the great web to aid you.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Poison, Summoning, Implement
Standard Action Ranged 20
Target: One creature adjacent to the spider
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 2d8 + Charisma modifier poison damage, and is immobilized until the target passes a save or the end of your next turn (whichever comes first).
Effect: You summon a large sized spider from the great web in an unoccupied space within range, and the spider attacks. As a move action, you can move the spider up to 6 squares.
Sustain Minor: One target that is currently immobilized by the spider's attack takes 1d8 + Charisma modifier poison damage and the target is immobilized until the target passes a save or the end of your next turn (whichever comes first). As a standard action, you can direct the spider to attack another target, but the last target of the spider's attack is no longer immobilized.


Web of Arachania
Arachnomancer Attack 5
You form a web of arachane power with your mind, entangling your foes within its sticky strands.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Radiant, Implement, Zone
Standard Action Area burst 2 within 10 squares
Primary Target: Each creature in burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 1d6 + Charisma modifier damage. Make a secondary attack.
Secondary Target: The target hit by the primary attack.
Secondary Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: The target is immobilized.
Effect: The burst creates an area of webs that traps your foes. The web remains until the end of your next turn. Make another attack roll against each creature that enters the zone or starts its turn there (as above).
Sustain Minor: The zone persists.



Level 6 Utility Weaves[edit]

Aspect of the Hunter
Arachnomancer Utility 6
The power of many hunting spiders conceal you from your prey.

Free Action Personal
Effect: You can use this power when you to attempt to hide. You do not have to have cover or concealment in order to hide, and gain a +5 power bonus to your stealth check, or a +10 power bonus if you have cover or concealment against the creature you are trying to hide against.

Spider Climb
Arachnomancer Utility 6
You bestow upon yourself or an ally the climbing ability of a spider.

Target: You or one willing ally
Effect: The target makes an athletics check to climb with a +10 power bonus to the check, and gains a climb speed equal to its speed until the end of its turn.


Daily[edit]

Aspect of the Jumping Spider
Arachnomancer Utility 6
You gain the blessing and power of the saltacid.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Teleportation
Move Action Personal
Effect: Teleport 10 squares. You can't take any other creatures with you.


Spydrical Hide
Arachnomancer Utility 6
You gain the blessing of the spider, transforming your skin into the hard carapace of the spider.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Polymorph
Move Action Personal
Effect: You gain a +2 power bonus to AC and Fortitude defense but take a -2 penalty to speed until the end of the encounter. You can end this effect as a minor action.


Level 7 Encounter Weaves[edit]

Deathly Swarm
Arachnomancer Attack 7
You summon a seething mass of deadly spiders to consume your foes.

Standard Action Area burst 2 within 20 squares
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 3d6 + Charisma modifier poison damage.


Pit of the Dark Horror
Arachnomancer Attack 7
You create a deep pit and summon a dark horror in spider form to attack those who fall into your trap.

Standard Action Area burst 2 within 10 squares
Target: Each creature in burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 2d8 + Charisma modifier poison damage.
Effect: A hole inhabited by a dark spider materializes in the designated area and remains until the end of your next turn. The pit counts as difficult terrain. Any creature that starts its turn in the hole or moves through it takes poison damage equal to your intelligence modifier. You can end this end this effect as a minor action.


Retriever's Stormy Gaze
Arachnomancer Attack 7
The gaze of a retriever's eye throws a bolt of lightning at your foe.

Standard Action Ranged 10
Target: One creature
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 2d10 + Charisma modifier lightning damage, and is knocked prone.


Level 9 Daily Weaves[edit]

Retriever's Burning Eye

The gaze of the retriever can engulf foes in a red-hot fire.

Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 2d12 + Charisma modifier fire damage, and the target takes 2 ongoing fire damage and is knocked prone.
Miss: Half damage, and the target is knocked prone.


Summon Greater Spider
Arachnomancer Attack 9
You call one of the greater spiders of the arachania to aid you in battle.

Standard Action Ranged 10
Target: One creature adjacent to the spider
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 1d10 + Charisma poison modifier damage.
Effect: You summon a large sized spider from the great web in an unoccupied space within range, and the spider attacks. As a move action, you can move the spider to a new target within range. The spider remains until the end of your next turn.
Sustain Minor: When you sustain the spider, it attacks again.


Swarming Terror
Arachnomancer Attack 9
You summon a heaving mass of jet-black spiders swarms around the designated area.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Implement, Poison, Zone
Standard Action Area burst 3 within 20 squares
Target: Each creature in burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 2d8 + Charisma modifier poison damage, and ongoing 5 poison damage (save ends), and the target is knocked prone.
Miss: Half damage, and the target is slowed.
Effect: This power creates a zone filled with a mass of swarming spiders. Each creature that starts its turn in or enters the zone takes poison damage equal to your charisma modifier.


Wall of Webs
Arachnomancer Attack 9
You call a great wall of tangled webs into being.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Conjuration, Implement
Standard Action Area wall 8 within 10 squares
Effect: You cunjure a wall that consists of continuous squares filled with arachane webs. It can be up to 8 squares long and 4 squares high. The wall lasts until the end of your next turn. Any creature that starts its turn adjacent to the wall takes becomes immobilized until the end of your next turn. If a creature moves into the wall's space or starts it's turn there takes 2d6 + Charisma modifier poison damage and is immobilized (save ends). The wall blocks line of sight and counts as difficult terrain.
Sustain Standard: The wall persists.



Level 10 Utility Weaves[edit]

Weave Shadows
Arachnomancer Utility 10
You weave the shadows around yourself, allowing you to move unseen.

Move Action Personal
Requirement: You must be hiding to use this power.
Effect: You can move your speed. At the end of your movement, if you have cover, you can make an arachane check as if it where a stealth check with no penalty for moving. If you make the arachane check, you stay hidden during your movement.

Fleet of the Spider
Arachnomancer Utility 10
The power of the arachnomancer grants you the speed of spiderkind.

Minor Action Personal
Effect: Until the end of your next turn, your speed increases by 4, and when you shift you can shift 1 additional square.


Daily[edit]

Spider Crawl
Arachnomancer Utility 10
You bestow upon yourself or an ally the climbing ability of a spider to aid your ability to navigate through difficult terrain.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Stance
Minor Action Personal
Effect: Your movement is not hindered by difficult terrain.


Spider's Leap
Arachnomancer Utility 10
With the salticidae's blessing, you leap, faster than sight.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Teleportation
Move Action Personal
Effect: You teleport 1d6 + 3 squares.


Level 13 Encounter Weaves[edit]

Swarm
Arachnomancer Attack 13
A mass swarm of shiny black spiders erupts from the ground below your foes.
Encounter ✦ Arachane, Implement, Poison, Summoning
Standard Action Area burst 2 within 20 squares
Target: Each creature in burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 3d6 + Charisma modifier poison damage, and the target is restrained until the end of your next turn.


Tangled Webs
Arachnomancer Attack 13
Drawing upon the arachania, you twist webs of arachane power around your foes, immobilizing them.
Encounter ✦ Arachane, Implement
Standard Action Ranged 10
Target: One, two or three creatures
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex, one attack per target.
Hit: 2d6 + Charisma modifier damage, and the target is immobilized until the end of your next turn.
Special: If you target only one creature with this power, you gain a +4 power bonus to the attack roll.


Tide of Death
Arachnomancer Attack 13
A living tide of swarming black spiders flows out of the ground below you, throwing your foes back.
Encounter ✦ Arachane, Implement, Poison, Summoning
Standard Action Close blast 5
Target: Each creature in blast
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 4d6 + Charisma modifier poison damage, and you push the target 4 squares.


Webs of Dark Terrors
Arachnomancer Attack 13
Using the power of the arachania, you create tangled webs and summon some dark creatures in spider form to infest the webs.
Encounter ✦ Arachane, Implement, Poison, Summoning
Standard Action Area burst 2 within 20 squares
Target: Each creature in burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 3d6 + Charisma modifier poison damage.
Effect: The power's area is difficult terrain until the end of your next turn. Any creature that starts its turn in the area takes 5 poison damage. You can dismiss the effect as a minor action.


Level 15 Daily Weaves[edit]

Barricading Webs
Arachnomancer Attack 15
You call a great barricade of tangled webs into being.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Radiant or Necrotic, Conjuration, Implement
Standard Action Area wall 12 within 10 squares
Effect: You conjure a solid wall of continuous squares filled with tangled webs. The wall can be up to 12 squares long and 6 squares high.
Any creature that starts its turn adjacent to the wall takes 2d6 + Charisma modifier radiant or necrotic damage. The wall blocks line of sight and any creature that attempts to move through the wall stops adjacent to it and is immobilized until the end of their next turn.
Special: As a standard action, a creature can attack the wall. Each squares has 50 hit points. Any creature that makes a melee attack against the wall takes 2d6 radiant or necrotic damage. The wall has vulnerability 25 to fire. The damage type of this power is determined by your alignment; if you are good aligned then this power deals radiant damage; if you are evil aligned this power deals necrotic damage. Unaligned characters may choose the damage type of this power (either radiant or necrotic).


Sea of Spiders
Arachnomancer Attack 15
A vast sea of deadly spiders rushes out from under you, engulfing your foes in waves of shiny black spiders.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Poison, Implement
Standard Action Close blast 5
Target: Each enemy in blast
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 6d6 + Charisma modifier poison damage, and the target is knocked prone and immobilized.
Miss: Half Damage.


Spider of the Great Web
Arachnomancer Attack 15
You summon one of your greatest spydric ally from the great web.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Poison, Summoning, Implement
Standard Action Ranged 10
Target: One or two creatures adjacent to the spider
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 2d10 + Charisma modifier poison damage, and the target is immobilized until the end of your next turn, or until it passes a saving throw (whichever comes first).
Effect: You summon a large sized spider from the great web in an unoccupied space within range, and the spider attacks one or two adjacent creatures. As a move action, you can move the spider to a new target within range. The spider remains until the end of your next turn.
Sustain Minor: The spider persists. You can make the spider attack two adjacent targets as a standard action.

Shroud of Darkness

Cloaked in a shroud of darkness, you hide from your foes, allowing you to attack them unseen.

Prerequisite: You must be trained in stealth.
Requirement: You must be hidden to use this power.
Effect: You are invisible until you leave your current square. No other action that you perform makes you visible.


Daily[edit]

Cloak of Shadows
Arachnomancer Utility 16
You cloak yourself or your ally in shadows, hiding the target from your foes.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Illusion
Standard Action Ranged 25
Target: You or one willing ally
Effect: The target is invisible to all who do not possess darkvision until the end of your next turn. If the target attacks, this power cannot be sustained (although the target remains invisible until the power's effect expires).
Sustain Minor: If the target is within range or within one square of natural darkness that you can see, you can sustain the effect.


Spiderskin
Arachnomancer Utility 16
The target's skin becomes as strong as a monstrous spider's exoskeleton.
Daily ✦ Arachane
Standard Action Melee touch
Target: You or one willing ally
Effect: The target gains resist 10 to all damage until the end of the encounter or for 5 minutes.


Swift as a Spider
Arachnomancer Utility 16
You gain the natural speed and agility of a spider.
Daily ✦ Arachane, Stance
Minor Action Personal
Effect: Your speed increases by 2.


Level 17 Encounter Weaves[edit]

Deadly Fountain
Arachnomancer Attack 17
A fountain of shiny, black spiders erupts from the ground and engulfs your foes.

Standard Action Area burst 2 within 20 squares
Target: Each creature in burst
Attack: Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: 5d6 + Charisma modifier poison damage.


Ensnaring Webs
Arachnomancer Attack 17
Your foe is trapped within a sticky web, immobilizing them where they stand.

Standard Action Ranged 20
Target: One creature
Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 3d10 + Charisma modifier radiant or necrotic damage, and the target is immobilized until the end of your next turn.
Special: The damage type of this power is determined by your alignment; if you are good aligned then this power deals radiant damage; if you are evil aligned this power deals necrotic damage. Unaligned characters may choose the damage type of this power (either radiant or necrotic).


Retriever's Inferno

The gaze of the retriever launches bolts of fire at your foes.

Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex, one attack per target.

Webs of Light and Darkness
Arachnomancer Attack 17
You create a tangled mass of webs in a form related to your alignment; of light if you are good, and of darkness if you are evil.

Attack: Charisma vs. Reflex
Hit: 3d8 + Charisma modifier radiant or necrotic damage, and the target is immobilized until the end of your next turn.

Effect: The burst creates a zone filled with poisonous spiders. A creature that enters the zone or starts its turn there takes 1d10 + Charisma modifier poison damage. As a move action, you can move the zone 3 squares.
Sustain Minor: The zone persists.

Effect: The power's area becomes difficult terrain until the end of your next turn.

Effect: The burst creates a zone filled with tangled webs until the end of the encounter or for 5 minutes. The zone is difficult terrain. Any creature that enters the zone or starts its turn there takes 4d6 + Charisma modifier radiant or necrotic damage. Any creature that ends its turn in the zone becomes immobilized (save ends).
