::How curious! I mean, like, a single bit of punctuation in a title can cause problems from a wiki-formatting standpoint! Parentheses in particular do it all the time! While inherently there is no reason it can't be done, it probably shouldn't be done either! It's unnecessarily cluttery! Also, distracting! We've got a lot of people around here with... particularities about standards and formatting, and shying away from exclamation points in the name is probably for the best! Any particular reason for it being there?! --Ganteka Future (talk) 18:07, 30 December 2018 (MST)

::::I didn't notice all the discussion! The typos should have been fixed, the wordiness was because I was feeling a bit silly with the entire "Iris'" series, and the same with the exclamation points. :: We defined modern as "Modern technology or any effective replication of such with clockwork or gnomish technology" and we had to cut on edge cases in short notice. :::Okay, I see how that might fit into the bill with the Jezail. The base rifle is supposed to be based on a flintlock, but the modifications bring it up to speed with something more 'modern', but the baseline, I feel, is a flintlock type rifle. I guess a similar fantasy weapon would be the Warplock Jezzail from warhammer fantasy, on a slightly smaller scale. Most mechanisms within the weapon are powered by the magical oil, rather than through clockwork automation. I think I'll move it back to Mundane, with this in mind... thank you, though! --Locke (talk) 15:05, 13 January 2019 (MST)

A Question!!![edit]

I don't see anything wrong except a few typos and it being kinda long and wordy! But I have a more pressing question! One that overrides my curiosity! What! Is! With! The! Exclaimation! Points!? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 03:53, 25 December 2018 (MST)

Surprise! Interrobang ! -- Eiji-kun (talk) 20:56, 12 January 2019 (MST)
I didn't notice all the discussion! The typos should have been fixed, the wordiness was because I was feeling a bit silly with the entire "Iris'" series, and the same with the exclamation points. If it screws with formatting or anything, I can possibly change it, but it's just a quirk of the character that is behind the series (that I am currently playing in a campaign) rather than a random design choice. --Locke (talk) 01:31, 13 January 2019 (MST)

Mundane or Modern?[edit]

Leziad moved this to Modern, but it's not intended for modern campaigns. Flintlock muskets and pistols are considered Mundane, and this is supposed to be similar to flintlock weapons, but using artifice and magic instead of gunpowder. What's the general consensus? --Locke (talk) 01:47, 13 January 2019 (MST)

Ah, and the flaskchucker crossbow also got moved to modern, and it's not even a rifle or anything. I would move them back without saying anything, but I wouldn't want to be rude. --Locke (talk) 02:23, 13 January 2019 (MST)
We defined modern as "Modern technology or any effective replication of such with clockwork or gnomish technology" and we had to cut on edge cases in short notice. If you feel an article is closer to flintlock and belong in mundane (as well as other similar article) you are free to move it. Or I could get to it. --Leziad (talk) 09:26, 13 January 2019 (MST)
Okay, I see how that might fit into the bill with the Jezail.
