This reminds me of something...[edit]

But it's on the tip of my tongue. None the less, very cool.

Question of scale[edit]

Is this house extra-dimensional in nature? You've described it as 20'x20' and 30' tall. This is about half the size of the townhouse you described, and would only amount to three stronghold spaces in old Guidebook terms. So, is it magically larger on the inside than the outside? (presuming the stated dimensions are the outside measurements) Tunganation (talk) 13:00, 13 February 2014 (UTC)

I don't think I defined it as being bigger than 20x20x30. What text are you referring to? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 13:06, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
The text appears at the bottom, the second to last sentence. "The travelling house is roughly 20x20 feet wide and about 30 feet tall, composed of wooden interior walls and masonry exterior (1 foot thick, hardness 8, 90 hp, break DC 35)." What I'm wondering, is well, that seems awfully small to be a roomy house for four, as described in the first paragraph. I don't understand where there is room for everything you described as "a wide living room, kitchen, four bedrooms, an extra spare room, and incidentals such as closets and the attic." That's only three stronghold spaces worth of space. You also designed the other properties, (I quite like those by the way) on the architecture list like the Ranch House, and Townhouse. Essentially what I am wondering, is this Travelling House is described as being 1200 square feet. The smallest Ranch House, without basement is 1600, the smallest Townhouse as described is 2100 square feet. So I was wondering is the Travelling House just more cramped, with small inn-sized rooms? Or is it bigger on the inside than on the outside like a cross between Baba Yaga's Hut and the Tardis? Tunganation (talk) 16:15, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
That apparently is just me misjudging the size of a "house for four". I figured having three stories gave enough space, but apparently not. That, or I'm just used to living in poor cramped quarters. Hmm, now a problem arrives. Do I shrink the house size description (as I don't want a footprint bigger than 20x20) or do I make it extradimensional because magic? I will ponder. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 00:03, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
"The house is this size blah blah blah. It has an extradimensional hub room. From this hub room, any number of additional rooms can be added, for X gp per 5 ft square of floor space, magic ritual, time, gems, requirements, blah blah, was it a cat I saw. In areas of anti-magic/nullmagic/dead magic, the extradimensional rooms become sealed." --Ganteka Future (talk) 00:33, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
