Why Low?[edit]

A +1 flaming (x4) weapon still deal more average damage than a +5 weapon with this feat on anything but a crit. Even then at +5 (so somewhat late game the damage different is only 9, a mere 2 with a +1 weapon). --Leziad (talk) 10:21, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

Ratings[edit]

A straight increase to damage is boring and does nothing for the game. Even worse is a feat that only does anything for you as long as you wield very specific (if relatively plentiful at higher level) magical items.

We did the math and it checks out.

If I had a +1 longs word made of Orichalcum (3.5e Equipment) would it deal +1d4 or +2d4 because they get +2 enhancement to damage for each +1? Grog toad (talk) 18:22, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
Good question, it would either be 1d4+1 or +2d4. It could really go either way, I can add something in the special section for edge case like this, now the tricky part is wording it. --Leziad (talk) 20:20, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

Clarification[edit]

Do you keep the +1 to attack? So it increases the damage from +1 to +1d4 per +1 enhancement bonus? --Ghostwheel (talk) 11:34, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

Yes, if you lost the +1 to attack it wouldn't be a good trade, probably more like a trait. Now I want to see a feat that allow you to trade the enhancement bonus to attack for something. Somekind of enchanted power attack. --Leziad (talk) 12:10, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
