"The slavers ambushed the sorceress on the path before she could react with her magic, however as she grabbed the staff with a martial stance they realized she wasn't a sorceress."
A finely crafted +2 black staff made of Darkwood, it posses a somewhat heavy metal head allowing it to behave as a two-handed Heavy Mace in addition to a Quarterstaff. As such it may be used as a double weapon, with one head being the Heavy Mace. Unlike a normal double weapon any enhancement placed upon one end also apply to the other.
If a character with an Arcane Combat feat wield the Warmage's staff it gain the ability to fire a bolt of magic out of it as an attack action, dealing 1d8 + the wielder's highest mental ability score bonus out of a range of 60 ft. as a ranged touch attack. This magic attack benefits from any enhancement placed on the staff, including the staff's base +2 bonus.
The Warmage's Staff is a unique item that cannot be replicated, but is not an artifact and thus may be destroyed or enhanced further as normal.

Cost to Create: Unique item, cannot be created.
