''Made from plated metal, leather and padding, the knuckled gauntlet is designed for combat rather than merely being armored protection. They're typically only worn by those proficient with their unarmed strikes.''

This heavy metal glove lets you deal lethal damage rather than nonlethal damage with unarmed strikes. A strike with a knuckled gauntlet is otherwise considered an unarmed attack. An opponent cannot use a disarm action to disarm you of knuckled gauntlets.

You may hold, but not wield, a weapon or other object in a hand wearing a knuckled gauntlet. You cannot use a hand wearing a knuckled gauntlet for spellcasting.

When you use this weapon to fight defensively or use the [[SRD:Combat Expertise|Combat Expertise]] feat, you gain a +1 shield bonus to AC. This weapon can be used to deal nonlethal damage without penalty to attack, though such attacks cannot confirm critical hits.

They are part of the close weapon group. The knuckled gauntlet is a [[SRD:Monk|monk]] special weapon.

The cost and weight given are for a single knuckled gauntlet.
