Necron Warrior
Necron warriors were once mortal, but made a pact with the C'tan, exchanging their servitude for immortality and bodies made of living metal. Their enslavement was perhaps more absolute than they'd ever imagined. While their mechanical bodies repair themselves with unnatural speed, even after sustaining staggering damage, its interface with the moral soul cannot be repaired. Each time they fall and rise again, necrons lose another bit of themselves, their intellect and senses growing ever dimmer.
Seeming as metalic skeletons, necron warriors wield fearsome gauss weaponry, a gift from their "gods". The gauss flayer manipulates magnetic forces which act upon the molecules making up its target, stripping them away layer by layer and drawing them toward the weapon. In practice, it is similar to a wizard's Disintegrate spell or a beholder's eye ray.
Note: You may have noticed the statblock looks different than those typical to dnd-wiki. It is my fumbling attempt to immitate the new design found in the Monster Manual 3, since it integrated a few features I liked. It is a work in progress.
Battered Necron Warrior
Repaired by their necron lords or tomb spyder guardians, these warrior recovered from damage they never would have been able to self-repair. Even so, they only just cling to functionality, serving mindlessly as ever. A battered necron warrior immediately phases out when destroyed, vanishing in an eerie glow, to return to the nearest stasis crypt for extensive repairs.
