A great way to expand the reach of the melee classes (which is something they desperately need). |

It's a pretty cool feat, but I'd like more exponentiality. |

This is a feat similar to one of the abilities that I planned to use on an Adventurer once. The penalty is a good way to offset the bonus and the feat gives melee characters some way to deal damage outside of their limited Zone of Influence. |
Attack of opportunity?
I'm just curious; Wave Strike says it doesn't expand your threatened area, but can it be used in an attack of opportunity? --Luigifan18 (talk) 15:35, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, sometimes in rare cases your threatened range is farther than what you can normally attack with. The ranged threat feat comes to mind, but you want to hit them with your sword. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 15:45, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- By "ranged threat feat", do you mean Super Snipe? That feat's final ability lets you make ranged attacks of opportunity - that is, an attack of opportunity with a ranged weapon. It has nothing to do with expanding the range of melee weapons. --Luigifan18 (talk) 15:55, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- No there's an actual ranged threat feat out there, possibly called that, but I can't recall for sure. It's WotC is what I remember. Also another case, tentacle with range, bite without it, for some reason you want to bite (bigger damage maybe) but you're out of range. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 15:59, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
