General Look-And-Feel CriticismEdit
On this and other chapters, you really need to:
- Split out all the classes and other stuff into their own pages, and then transclude them.
- Use a spellchecker.
- Double-check your formatting. Either copy/paste the *current* preloads, or look at how other exemplar classes like Samurai do it.
To get an idea of what I'm talking about, you can look at the changes I made to this page. Surgo 18:34, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
- Also, the blue color you are using is not good -- it looks way too much like hyperlinks in just about every modern browser. To make it easier to switch colors like this in the future, I recommend making a single template that you can call to make the text blue. That way when somebody says something like this, you only need to change the color in a single place (the template) instead of 50+ places. Surgo 18:39, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
- First-off, thanks for looking through these! I agree with the transclusion thing - I suspect I would have done that anyway at some point, so now I just have more reason to do that than ever before. On the spellchecking side of it - I suspect it's because I work in Notepad++, which doesn't have one built-in. I also tend to stick to British English, which can show up as erroneous on most spellcheckers (although I don't doubt there are errors). As for formatting errors, yeah, I do need to be more careful. Just been kinda distracted lately - hopefully I'll be more careful.
- Yeah - the blue also looks kinda poor in this format, as the colour scheme of the wiki is in browns. Also hear you on the template - I'm just not massively familiar with templating as-yet, which is why I didn't think of it before.
- tl;dr: Got it, and will work on improving all of it. MisterSinister 20:52, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
