Feral strike weapons are presented as an alternative to granting natural weapons. They are used as manufactured weapons would be, but are part of the creature. The rules presented here are for the default feral strike weapons and apply as such unless stated otherwise in the weapon's entry.
Feral Strike WeaponsEdit
Feral strike weapons function as masterwork weapons, even being able to be enchanted as melee weapons. Feral strike weapons may not have the dancing, throwing or returning enchantments.
Any creature possessing a feral strike weapon is automatically proficient with it.
HandednessEdit
A creature possessing a feral strike weapon may designate any of his "one-handed" or "light" feral strike weapons as being in his "main hand" or "off-hand". A creature may change these feral strike weapon designations once per round as a free action.
A creature with two of the same feral strike weapons has the option of making a single combined attack as though it were a two-handed weapon, adding 1Strength modifier to damage. The attacker chooses which feral strike weapon's properties are being used for the attack for a two-handed strike. If one of the pair of feral strike weapons are unusable or have the broken condition, this option cannot be taken.
½ times the creature'sDamaging and Restoring Feral Strike WeaponsEdit
Feral strike weapons cannot be disarmed. These weapons can be sundered, gaining the broken condition when reduced to 0 HP. Creatures can regain use of a sundered feral strike weapons in several ways:
- Any healing that restores ability damage restores an equal number of HP to a creature's feral strike weapons.
- Any healing that a creature receives while at his maximum total of HP goes to his feral strike weapons. He may choose to divide the HP gained among his feral strike weapons to heal how he chooses.
Feral Strike Weapon EntriesEdit
Presented below is a basic weapon entry for a feral strike weapon for copying, pasting and filling out with the correct statistics. Some information has already been included for ease of use, such as "n" for "none" in the "|sme=" parameter, indicating that it has no proficiency requirement, much like a thrown splash weapon. These filled-in parameters are just the default and subject to change per individual feral strike weapons.
