Improved Wave Strike [Metacombat]
You swing your sword towards the wizard casting a spell 50 feet away. A wave of energy flies from your blade and smacks him directly in the face.Prerequisites: BAB +9, Wave Strike, Combat ReflexesBenefit: Wave Strike can now be used as an attack of opportunity, which means that it can expand your threatened area. However, the same ratio of BAB penalty to effective reach increase applies, so you may be required to take an attack penalty of at least a certain amount to attack a target a certain distance away.
Example: By taking a −6 penalty on his attack roll, a medium fighter with a flaming greatsword (that is, a 5-foot reach) could make an attack of opportunity against a target up to 25 feet away (5×5). If he used a lance (10-foot reach), his attack range becomes 50 feet (10×5).Normal: Wave Strike can only be used on your turn or as a readied action.Special: Metacombat feats can be taken as fighter bonus feats. This metacombat maneuver is a supernatural ability.
