Illuminator, Elan [Metapsionic, Racial] By the power vested in me, blah, blah, blah. Welcome to your new life kid! Now go away, you bother me.Prerequisites: Elan 12 HD. Skills: Knowledge (Psionics) 15 ranks, and Psicraft 15 ranks.Benefit: Any Elan with this feat can "make" new Elans. In order to achieve this, an Illuminator must establish mental contact with a Psicraft check DC 25 + (2 x HD of the candidate). Once mental contact is established the Illuminator must expend their psionic focus and then both illimunator and candidate must spend a cost of 500 XP per HD of the candidate . Note: The total XP cost shall not be enough to cause the candidate to go below 0 XP or make the Illuminator lose a level and if so the procedure fails. If successful, the candidate is now a brand "new made" level 1 Elan. Example: Ajax, a Human Ranger 3 wants to become an elan. After seeking out one who can accomplish this task, in this case a one Idris Vendalic (Elan Psion 15), the process goes as follows: First: Idris establishes mental conact, the DC is 31( 25 + 6(Ajax's 3HD x 2). Next: Idris rolls with all his modifiers a 33; success, mental contact established. Finally: Idris must expend his psionic focus and both Idris and Ajax spend a cost of 1500 XP (3 HD x 500) each for the procedure to be successful.Normal: No documentation exists for the creation process of Elans.Special: There is a strong belief, held by some, that those in the secret Elan enclaves known as Cullers, use this process in congress under a currently manifested Metaconcert power to alleviate the drain from the XP loss ( Knowledge (psionics) DC 30).
