Deathstrike[edit]

Weapons with this enhancement have a haunting presence, and a subtle weight for every soul its slain.

Deathstrike weapons bite at the energy of living creatures, dealing +2 damage against any creature with a Con score. Immunity of death effects renders them immune to this extra damage.

When a deathstrike weapon slays a creature, it gains a charge equal to the HD of the slain creature. At any point as a free action as part of an attack, you can discharge this energy, dealing 1d6 additional damage per charge in the weapon against your target. Multiple slain creatures overlap, not stack, for the amount of charge a deathstrike weapon is holding in reserve.

Deathstrike weapons synergize with abilities that cause instant death (such as death attack) or are death effects. It can channel death effect spells through the weapon, and death attack/death effects gain a +1 bonus to DC.

Faint Necromancy; CL 5th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, death knell; Price: +2.
