  1. If the character has some help, cut this time in half. A single character doing nothing else can help one or two adjacent characters. Two characters can't help each other don armor at the same time.

In an earlier age, a civilization of ancient fey thrived. Their impact, culture and presence now mostly lost to time. They crafted with crystal and magic, with techniques sadly forgotten. For the remaining fey in Karakea, they refer to this armor as Avi'Adura.

This armor is sleek and crystalline, with a mild silvery iridescent sheen. Despite its glassy appearance, the unusual material is surprisingly supple, flexing and bending to the touch. Chips and pitting pock its surface from wear and age. The suit covers the body tightly and snuggly, shaping itself to fit a Medium or Small wearer. It reaches fully covering the wearer's neck, down to the wrists and ankles, leaving the head, hands and feet free. The helmet, gloves and boots may simply be missing. It otherwise uses the statistics of a +1 mithral adjusted chain shirt with 2 less hardness, being made from a crystal, with an even more lightly reduced weight.

Its magic is faded and weak, but endures nonetheless. When inspected, it is revealed that the suit is a prototype, unfinished, its full potential not yet unlocked.

Base Form

In this state, it provides the following additional features to its wearer:

  • DR 2/Cold Iron
  • Constant endure elements.
  • The wearer can generate magical light from nodes and seams within the armor as a fey light. This ability can be activated or deactivated with a free action and is otherwise continuous. Additionally, the light can be dimmed down to the faint glow of a candle.
  • The wearer can activate a field of force that covers them as a free action. In this state, the suit supplies the wearer with fresh, breathable air for up to 8 hours per day. Uses need not be consecutive and are used in 10 minute increments.

Restored Form

If the suit is magically repaired and completed, it provides the following additional features to the wearer:

  • The armor's maximum Dexterity bonus increases by 1.
  • The wearer gains the benefits of adapt body when its field of force is activated as a continuous effect. It no longer has a limit on the hours per day it can be active.
  • Constant magic vestment with a caster level equal to the wearer's character level.

In order to restore the armor, the assistance of a powerful fey is needed, as well as whatever bribe or duty they demand in exchange for their services. Restoring the armor usually involves a ritual or magical crafting, but the method varies depending on the fey's techniques.

Strong; CL 16th, Minor Artifact cannot be crafted.
