Billows of black, unbreathable smoke spew from a touched object or structure, obscuring sight as a fog cloud, as well as applying the effects of smoke inhalation to creatures who breath in the fumes: each round a creature inhales the smoke, they must make a fortitude save at the spell's DC or be unable to take any actions other than choking and coughing. Every two rounds of inhalation deals 1d6 non-lethal damage. A creature can avoid choking by holding their breath, though creatures within 20ft of the object when the spell is initially cast must make a reflex save to avoid breathing-in reflexively, unless they have advanced notice as to the effects of the spell.
Smoke clouds continually billow from the targeted object, effectively recalculating the area each round. However, unlike most emanations, the effect does not immediately dissipate when the center is moved; instead smoke continues to fill the previous area for one round before dissipating. If the targeted object does not fit in a 5ft cube, treat the effect as emanating from only the touched point.
At the caster's discretion, the smoke may be saturated with ash and embers, dealing 2 fire damage per round to occupants.
