Amputated Arm
One of your arms has been amputated, completely or partially, leading to a more difficult life.
Prerequisite: Must be from a race with two arms.
Effect: You only have a single arm, which means that you can only wield a single weapon one-handed or light weapon, perform tasks one-handed and lack a free hand for somatic components and such if your primary hand is occupied. Due to living in this condition for a while, you are able to perform skill checks which require two free hands (such as climb, however at a –2 penalty.
At your option the limb may only be partially amputated, and if a prosthesis is worn you may use it to use a shield, or wield a weapon. The prosthesis does not allow for the casting of spells, skills checks and whatnot. The shield or weapon must be affixed on the prosthesis, which requires a free hand and a standard action. More advanced prosthesis may provide other benefits.
If a class feature or feat requires a free hand, your missing arm counts as free for that purpose. However since it cannot perform any action, it might not be usable for a particular class feature anyhow.
Benefit: Any bonus feat for which you meet the prerequisites. A Moderate bonus feat or lower for which you meet the prerequisites if you select the partial amputation option.
Special: In order for a magical arm prosthesis to function for a character with this flaw, it must use your hand slot or one of your ring slots, both if the complete amputation is selected. Otherwise it is nonfunctional.
