Arcanist Ranger
You did not form a strong bond with nature, instead studying a spellbook and learning the secrets of wizardry.
Class: Ranger
Level: 1st-20th
Replaces: Wild Empathy, Spellcasting, Animal Companion
Benefit: An Arcanist Ranger gain the following class features:
Spellcasting: An Arcanist Ranger gain arcane spellcasting at 1st level, gaining the spell progression of a Death Knight with Wisdom as her key spellcasting ability. An arcanist ranger cast spells from the Sorcerer/Wizard spell list. She prepares spells from a spellbook much like a wizard, starting with 1 + her Wisdom modifier in 1st level spells in her spellbook. Whenever she gains a level in range she adds two spells of any levels they can cast to their spellbook for free.
Bond Arcana (Ex): Once per day at 4th level, an arcanist ranger can cast any spells on her spell list as a full-round action, or the spell's casting time if longer. She does not need to have prepared the spell ahead of time, but she needs to expend a spell slot of the appropriate level. Alternatively, she may use this ability to cast a spell she prepared as a swift action. The arcanist ranger may use this ability an additional time per day tt 6th level and each 2 levels thereafter.
