Beskar[edit]

The Mandalorians were famous for their ability to combat force users, both Jedi and Sith alike. Their extensive training was largely responsible for this, but the Mandalorians owe a lot to the metal they use in their weapons and armor; Beskar. Also known as Mandalorian Iron, Beskar is an incredibly durable, lightweight material that was capable of deflecting blaster shots and even glancing aside blows from lightsabers.

When used to make weapons, the weapon's weight is cut in half, allowing for the weapon to be considered a versatile weapon, usable in one or two hands. Two handed Beskar weapons wielded in one hand retain their damage, but are considered one-handed for the purposes of penalties to attacks and for adding strength to damage. All Beskar weapons allow a user to add their weapon's enhancement modifier to their armor class when being attacked by a weapon with the Brilliant Energy weapon quality.

When used to make armor, the weight of the armor is cut in half, allowing the armor to be considered one category less (Heavy to medium, medium to light, etc.). The armor allows the wearer to deflect a number of projectiles per round equal to one third of the armor bonus provided by the armor. When being attacked by a weapon with the Brilliant Energy special weapon quality, the user may add their armor bonus to their touch armor class against the attacks. Shields made of Beskar allow the weilder's shield bonus to be added in the same way when being attacked by a brilliant energy weapon. Due to the custom-fitted nature of any set of armor made of Beskar, the maximum dexterity limit and armor check penalties for any armor type is removed.

Beskar has 30 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 20. Alloyed Beskar has 25 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 15.
