5e (2014) Spell
Blazing Rebirth
5th-level evocation
Casting Time: 1 Reaction, taken when a creature you can see within range dies.
Range: 30ft
Components: V, S, M (A ruby worth at least 500gp, which the spell consumes)
Duration: Instantaneous
Casters: Cleric, Druid, Paladin
With a shout, you crush the ruby in your hand and life-giving flames erupt from the dead creature. Each creature within 10ft of the target must make a Dexterity saving throw, suffering 3d6 points of Fire damage, or half as much on a successful save.
The target creature then returns to life with a number of hit points equal to your spellcasting ability modifier (Min 1), plus one-half (Rounded down) of the total Fire damage dealt to creatures by the spell. The creature may stand up from prone if you choose.
At Higher Levels. When cast using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the Fire damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 5th.
