1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
A wonder of craftsmanship, albeit seen as a gimmicky and redundant weapon. Typically made of the best wood available, given an aerodynamic design, the boomerang bow is about the size of a shortbow. The boomerang bow is a bow that can be thrown as a boomerang, making it a thrown and projectile weapon. When thrown by a proficient user, a boomerang bow returns to the user as if it had the returning enhancement. If it already has enhancement it returns to the wielder nigh instantaneously, allowing for multiple throws in the first round. The profile above is for the boomerang bow when used as a thrown weapon.
When a proficient user is taking a full-attack with a boomerang bow you may make multiple attacks in the same throw, making each attack against a different target within 15 feet of the last. This consumes extra attacks from BAB, haste and else as if it was a normal full-attack. You may strike the same target multiple times, as long as the boomerang bow is used to strike a different creature between each attack.
Finally a boomerang bow can be fired as a composite shortbow, if the wielder does not have weapon Exotic Weapon Proficiency [Boomerang Bow] she takes a -2 penalty on attacks roll with a boomerang bow used as a projectile weapon. This is in addition to the penalty for lack of proficiency in the composite shortbow. Any feats, such as Weapon Focus, with the boomerang bow apply to both its thrown state and projectile weapon state.
