Paladin Longsword


Chikai no ken (Sword of Oaths)
"paladin only" is not in the list (Simple, Martial, Exotic, None, —, +1, +2, +3, +4) of allowed values for the "Proficiency" property.
Melee Weapon (Longsword), legendary (requires attunement 3 levels Paladin Only)

This Longsword is imbued with the Oath of a Paladin and therefore the user must sacrifice three levels to fully utilize the blade by reciting the oath in which they wish to pursue each day if they fail to do so they will lose the effects of the blade and subsequent levels until they continue reciting the oath each day

When Attuning to the "Chikai no ken" you must choose from among the Paladin Sacred Oaths in which you will follow[edit]

At 1st level of imbuement while attuned to the "Chikai no ken"[edit]

  • Gain the benefits of Divine Sense
    • You may use an action to touch the blade upon another and restore Hit points up to 5 times the level imbued once used the points dont replenish until after a long rest

At 2nd level of imbuement while attuned to the "Chikai no ken"[edit]

  • You must chose the style in which you will use the blade from among the Paladin fighting styles
    • Divine Smite On a successful attack you may expend up to 3 charges each of which will deal an additional 2d8 damage with an additional 1d8 per charge if it targets an undead or fiend

At 3rd level of imbuement while attuned to the "Chikai no ken"[edit]

  • You gain the benefits of Divine Health
    • Channel the power of Divinity through the "Chikai no ken" by using an action to make it a Sacred weapon or present the sword with a prayer to try and Turn the Unholy
