The air dried up as your cup filled with fresh water.
When you cast this spell the humidity in the area drops. Humid air becomes average, and average air becomes arid. Besides changing the humidity the water from the surroundings collects within your focus (a container) duplicating the effects of create water going from average to arid, twice the amount of create water going from humid to average, and nothing but a slight dampness in arid environments. If cast while it is precipitating it instead causes any precipitation in progress to fall as a downpour for 1 minute, but it has no significant effects on any overarching wide spread weather systems.
Unattended or willing objects that are damp or soaked are dried out as part of this spell. You can use this spell to dispel obscuring mist and fog cloud spells specifically instead of its usual effect.
After casting, natural forces and wind effects may cause the dehumidified air to become humid once more.
Focus: A cup or container which the water fills. It need not be large enough for the water and extra will spill over the sides.
