Desert Thief[edit]

Desert thieves are expert of the desert wind discipline and fierce two-weapon fighters. In order to develop the skills to be a desert thief one must learn the way of two-weapon fighting and have a grasp on advanced desert wind tactic, additionally one must spend years living in the desert to truly understand how to put those skills in practice.

It is said that desert thieves are capable of moving through the desert unhampered and taht some of them are capable of calling on magical sandstorms to aid cover their retreat or shroud their attacks.

Becoming a Desert Thief[edit]

Entry Requirements  
Base Attack Bonus: +3. 
Skills: Hide 6 ranks, Move Silently 6 ranks, Survival 6 ranks. 
Feats: Endurance, Two-Weapon Fighting, Two-Weapon Defense
Class Features: Must be able to use 2nd level desert wind maneuvers. 
Special: Must have lived at least 5 years in the desert.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Desert Thief.

Maneuvers: At 1st level and every odd level you gain a new maneuver known from the Dancing Goddess, Desert Wind and Devoted Spirit disciplines. You must meet a maneuver’s prerequisite to learn it. You add your full desert thief assassin levels to your initiator level to determine your total initiator level and your highest-level maneuvers known. At 1st level and 5th levels, you gain an additional maneuver readied per day.

Stances Known: At 2nd level and 5th level beyond, you learn a new martial stance from the Devoted Spirit, Diamond Mind, Narrow Bridge, and Shadow Hand disciplines. You must meet a stance’s prerequisite to learn it.

Desert Adaptation (Ex): A 1st level desert thief ignore difficult terrain while moving on sand, has perfect visibility while in a sandstorm and she gain the benefits of the skate power while moving on sand (except the speed bonus is untyped). While in a desert the desert thief gain assassin's hide in plain sight. You dehydrate three time slower than normal and you are always under the effect of endure elements (warm climate only).

Oversized Grip (Ex): A 1st level desert thief may use falchions sized for her as one-handed weapons. Additionally falchions count as light weapons for the purpose of calculating the penalty when fighting with two weapons.

Quickened Style (Ex): A 2nd level desert thief gain a special recovery method for her maneuver, she may recover one desert wind maneuver as a swift action once per round.

At 4th level she recover up to three of her expended desert wind maneuver as a swift action instead.

Master of the Desert Wind (Ex): At each desert thief level she can choose a maneuver of the desert wind discipline whose level do not exceed her class level, she permanently gain that maneuver as a maneuver-like ability. If she knew that maneuver she may trade it for a maneuver of the same level.

Sneak Attack (Ex): At 2nd and 4th level a desert thief gain sneak attack as the rogue ability.

Sandcloud Escape (Su): At 3rd level a desert thief may as an immediate action vanish in a cloud of sand. She become invisible for 1 round and may move immediately as if she took a move action, leaving a 10 feet radius cloud of extremely dense sand centered on where she was standing, the cloud is treated as solid fog that only last 1 round. Using this ability is highly disorienting, the desert thief suffer a -5 penalty to attack and AC for 1 minute after using it. Using this ability require her to expend one of her readied maneuver which can be recovered as normal.

Furious Sandstorm (Ex): At 5th level a desert thief is capable of using a single desert wind maneuver which require a standard action or less to initiate as her first attack in a full-attack action.
