Dwarven Lorekeeper
While not restricted to Dwarves this ACF has roots in Dwarven tradition as Dwarven Bards were less charismatic or musically inclined as other bards.
Class: Bard
Level: 1
Replaces: Bardic Music, Saves, Spellcasting, Suggestion
Benefit: Bardic Music is now called Bardic History and is based on your ranks in Knowledge (History) rather than Perform and all DCs and effects are Intelligence based rather than Charisma based.
Saves, your Reflex Save becomes poor but your Fort Save becomes Good.
Your Spellcasting stat is now Intelligence rather than Charisma.
Fascinate, History is boring to some and not very captivating. Instead, Dwarven Lorekeepers can use Bardic History to grant them a bonus to their next knowledge check equal to their level. This does not allow them to attempt knowledge checks untrained.
Suggestion, Dwarves, and others who take this tradition as a lore-keeper, are not a very convincing lot. Instead Suggestion is replaced with Inspire Hardiness. Inspire Hardiness allows the Dwarf to grant DR equal to 1/5th of his class level, rounded down, that is bypassed by everything besides physical damage (piercing, bludgeoning, and slashing).
