Warlock Greater; 6th |
There are two versions of this ability. The first connects two points in space with an invisible magical glyph that you can inscribe on any flat surface over the course of 1 minute. The glyph fills a 5 ft square and can be seen with detect magic, and only removed by destroying the surface it is on or casting erase. One glyph is worthless, a second glyph must be made and at that point the two places are linked. A creature can touch it and speak a command word (set by you) as a standard action to teleport from point A to point B, as if using greater teleport. If the glyphs are on different planes, it acts as greater plane shift instead. You can only have two such glyphs active at a time, and creating a new one dismisses one of the old one of your choice. A creature can attempt to activate the glyph with a Use Magic Device check, DC 20 + your caster level. Failing by 5 or more renders the glyph unusable by that creature for 24 hours.
Alternatively, you can set the glyph as a magical trap instead. This glyph is one way only, and creatures which step on or touch the glyph get a Will save, or be teleported to the end point of the elder webway. After being activated as a magical trap, this invocation remains only for 1 round/level before erasing both end points. This is a magical trap, and it has a Search check and Disable Device check of DC 20 + your caster level.
