Ensorcelled Duelist[edit]
“ | Can you keep up with me? Up Strike! Down Strike! Disintegrate! | ” |
—Karsen DeVildaer, Human Ensorcelled Duelist |
The world of magical fighters is a rather sparse one, few dedicated themselves to dual pursuits. The Ensorcelled Duelist combine the skillful style of fencing alongside lightning quick spells, taking her opponent by surprise. She is a skilled blademaster, in part at least, as they use a powerful enchanted weapon to supplement their fighting abilities. This make them expert fighters, as long as they have the correct weapon in hands. Unlike most other magical fighters, they eschew the use of heavier armor if they use armor at all.
This class is based on the Fencer with a magic spin to it.

Class Features[edit]
All of the following are class features of the Ensorcelled Duelist.
Spellcasting: At each level, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one arcane spellcasting class before becoming a Ensorcelled Duelist, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.
Ensorcelled Weaponry (Su): An Ensorcelled Duelist is capable of enhancing a single melee masterwork or magic weapon she has Weapon Focus with in her possession with a powerful enchantment, which allow her and only her to fight like a master while wielding the weapon. She may take 24 hours to place the enhancement on the weapon, granting it the Floating enhancement for free for as long as it is the ensorcelled weapon, without the ability to change ownership. You may only have a single ensorcelled weapon at any time, whenever you bestow the enchantment on another weapon the previous weapon cease being your ensorcelled weapon.
While fighting with her ensorcelled weapon, she count your BAB as being equal to her caster level (to a maximum of your character level) for all intent and purpose except for attaining prerequisites. This only applies to attack made with the ensorcelled Weapon.
At 5th level, the Ensorcelled Duelist's ensorcelled weapon gain the Instant Recall enhancement for free, even if it could not normally be thrown. This only last as long as the chosen weapon remain the Ensorcelled Duelist's ensorcelled weapon.
At 10th level the Ensorcelled Duelist has an otherwise unattainable mastery over her ensorcelled weapon. She gain the benefits of Weapon SupremacyPHB2 with her ensorcelled weapon, even if she does not meet the prerequisites.
Quick Levitation (Su): An Ensorcelled Duelist can use her magic to bring herself on her feet, or even above the ground. She may stand up from prone as a swift or move action, which does not provoke attack of opportunity. She is also under a constant levitate effect and do not take any penalties from fighting when levitating. She may even horizontally at half her speed while levitating.
Parry and Riposte (Ex): The Ensorcelled Duelist gains Parry and Riposte as a bonus feat, even if she does not meet the prerequisites.
Evasion (Ex): At 2nd level the Ensorcelled Duelist gains evasion like a rogue. If you already possessed Evasion you gain a bonus feat you meet the prerequisite for.
Spellstriking (Su): As long as Ensorcelled Duelist of 2nd level or or above wield her ensorcelled weapon in one hand and nothing in the other, she may make a single melee attack at her highest attack bonus and cast a targeted or a touch spell or spell-like abilities through her weapon. The target of the spell must be the same as the target of the attack. If the attack miss the spell is wasted, unless it a touch spell which allow for multiple touch.
Magical Deflection (Su): A 3rd level Ensorcelled Duelist gain Armed Deflect Arrows as a bonus feat, which she may only use when she is wielding her Ensorcelled Weapon. If she is targeted by a ray, she may use her deflect for the round and extend a spell of the same level or higher as the ray. If she does she deflect the ray harmlessly.
Spellstriking Cascade (Su): At 4th level, an Ensorcelled Duelist gain Spell Cascade as a bonus feat, even if she does not meet the prerequisites. At her option, as a full-attack action she may combine this metamagic feat with her Spellstriking ability, making an attack for each each spell cast at the same attack bonus. This follow the normal rule for both the metamagic feat and the spellstriking class feature.
She may not use this ability with spell-like abilities unless she can apply the Spell Cascade metamagic feat on them somehow, following the normal limitation of the ability.
Combat Jaunt (Su): A 5th level Ensorcelled Duelist may teleport 10 feet to any location she has line of sight to whenever she make an attack, teleporting right before she make the attack. She may also teleport 10 feet per class level with the same restriction as an attack action.
Improved Magical Deflection (Su): At 6th level, the Ensorcelled Duelist wielding her ensorcelled weapon deflect any non-magical non-siege missile aimed at her without using her deflect use for the round. She may also deflect a targeted spell as if it was a ray.
Enchanted Grasp (Su): A 7th level Ensorcelled Duelist grant additional powers to any magic weapon she wield, granting them either a +1 enhancement bonus which stack with the weapon's existing bonuses or add a +1 special ability of her choice to the weapon. She choose which bonus or special ability she give by meditating for 10 minutes. Both these benefits only last for as long as she wield the weapon.
Improved Evasion (Ex): At 8th level the Ensorcelled Duelist gains improved evasion as a rogue. If you already possessed Improved Evasion you gain a bonus feat you meet the prerequisite for.
Spellstriking Avalanche (Su): At 8th level, an Ensorcelled Duelist gain Gatling Spell as a bonus feat, even if she does not meet the prerequisites. However unlike Spellstriking Cascade, she may only use it as a part of her Spellstriking ability as a 1 round action, making an attack for each spell cast with the normal restriction of both the metamagic feat and spellstriking. She is limited by the number of attacks and spells she can use, whichever is less.
She may not use this ability with spell-like abilities unless she can apply the Gatling Spell metamagic feat on them somehow, following the normal limitation of the ability.
Greater Magical Deflection (Su): At 9th level, the Ensorcelled Duelist may reflect any attack she deflect back to it attacker, using the same attack bonus as the attack. This can be applied to a deflected ray, but not targeted spell.
Soulsword (Su): When a 10th level Ensorcelled Duelist dies, she may have her soul move into her ensorcelled weapon. It become an intelligent items, using the Ensorcelled Duelist's mental ability score and alignment, but do not possess further special powers. If the item was already intelligent, the Ensorcelled Duelist personality and alignment take precedence. The ensorcelled weapon may be used a special focus for any revival spell, halving the material cost of any spell used to the revive the Ensorcelled Duelist and negating any level loss from resurrection.
Once per week, the ensorcelled weapon may replicate the revival version of personality override on it wielder, attempting to bring back the Ensorcelled Duelist. The effect fail if the blade is cast away or broken before the change 'germinate'. If the ensorcelled weapon is broken then the Ensorcelled Duelist's souls move on to it rightful afterlife.
