Exotic Training[edit]

You can qualify as having stats higher than you do, at a loss elsewhere.

Benefit: Your intense focus on a goal has allowed you to go beyond the actual limits of your body. Select an ability score, this score is +4 higher than normal for the purpose of pre-requisites of feats, classes, and other requirements. It does not actually change your score. A rogue with Dex 12 still has only +1 dexterity to AC, initiative, etc. He may however select Two-Weapon Fighting as if he possessed a 16 Dex.

Drawback: Your intense focus means you have slacked elsewhere. Select another ability score, you count as -6 lower than normal for the purpose of pre-requisites of feats, classes, and other requirements. A rogue whose Int score is 18 cannot take Combat Expertise, as his effective Int score is 12 and the feat requires a 13.

Special: The ability score with a penalty must be on a score that is 13 or higher.

Roleplaying Ideas: You seem focused on doing things even if they are your weak point. People with this trait never give up in the face of adversity, sometimes becoming overconfident in their ability to face a challenge in their chosen focus.
