Crystal of Energy Protection (Expanded)[edit]
This is actually an expansion on the crystal of energy protection from in the Magic Item Compendium, covering more rare and obscure elements. They protect against force damage, negative energy damage, positive energy damage, and untyped damaged caused by psionic effects such as mind thrust respectively.
Force Protection[edit]
This glassy crystal looks fragile, but is nearly unbreakable.
Negative Energy Protection[edit]
A cloudy black jewel seems cold to the touch. Touching it makes living beings uncomfortable.
Positive Energy Protection[edit]
A glowing white crystal seems warm and friendly, though it burns slightly to the touch.
Psionic Protection[edit]
This amethyst crystal flickers with sparks of what appear to be lightning inside. It reacts to the touch of intelligent beings, growing more active.
- Least
This augment crystal grants resistance 5 to the designated energy type. Once the crystal has prevented a total of 25 damage, in becomes inert until the next day.
- Lesser
As above, but grants resistance 10 with a total pool of 50 points per day before going inert.
- Greater
As above, but grants resistance 15 with a total pool of 75 points per day before going inert.
