5e Spell Flashing Blade
Evocation cantrip
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Self (5ft Radius)
Components: S, M (A melee weapon worth at least 1sp)
Duration: 1 Round
Casters: Cleric, Sorcerer, Warlock

You brandish the weapon used in the spell’s casting and make a melee attack with it against one creature within 5 feet of you. On a hit, the target suffers the weapon attack’s normal effects, and until the start of your next turn, the creature sheds bright light in a 5ft radius, and dim light in a 10ft radius. These motes of light hinder the target's vision, imposing disadvantage on attack rolls, and on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on vision, against anything outside of the bright light generated by the spell.

At Higher Levels. At 5th level, the target takes an additional 1d8 points of Radiant damage on a successful hit, as the motes of light sear its form. This damage increases to 2d8 at 11th level, and 3d8 at 17th level.
