The overlord exploded into bats, vanishing into the night.
Upon casting this spell you can convert into a swarm of flying creatures of any appearance. In swarm form you deal damage as a swarm of your HD, and take half damage from physical attacks as if you were made of Tiny creatures. You gain all swarm traits, but retain your mind and can still be affected by mind-affecting effects (even single target ones). You have enough control over your parts to choose when and how to deal damage, and your distraction DC is equal to the DC of this spell. As a swarm you cannot speak or manipulate objects, and held or worn objects meld into your polymorphed form. If you hit 0 hp or less as a swarm, the spell ends and you return to your normal form.
At any time in its duration you can use a move action to toggle between normal and swarm forms. It has your normal movement speeds, and a fly speed equal to your land speed (average), though you can hover and have no minimum flight speed.
