As part of a ranged attack (either one attack as a standard action or multiple attacks with a full-round action), you freeze the thrown or fired projectiles in midair inches after you release them. While frozen, the weapons are invulnerable to damage as per temporal stasis. You can set a triggering condition to have the frozen attacks unfreeze as per contingency, attacking a creature in the original square you aimed for, or you can unfreeze them as a free action on your turn only. Typically, it is set to unfreeze the weapon when a creature passes over the targeted square. You make your attack roll when the weapon unfreezes, with all the bonuses and penalties applied to the attack when you made it.
You can freeze a number of attacks at one time from any and all uses of this maneuver up to your ¼th your initiator level. Creatures can pass through the area where the weapons are frozen as difficult terrain, but with no danger of attack, cover, or concealment.
This is a supernatural maneuver.
