Greater Awaken

Rosco blinked. He was the good boy. But why was he the good boy? In a flash of insight, he has discovered philosophy.

This spell acts as awaken with the following changes. Plants still roll 3d6 for their mental ability scores, but have a minimum of 7. Animals gain 3d6 for Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma (minimum 7) or their original score, whichever is better. Animals gain +1 HD of the Animal type (their type still changes to Magical Beast), and both plants and animals may gain +1 class level of any base class they qualify for. They are not given any equipment, and any spells gained must be prepared or rested for before use. They are capable of speech even if their body normally would not allow it.

You may also prepare a special humanoid mold of clay in which rocks, burning embers, water, or simply left hollow and empty of naught more than air. When Greater Awaken is cast upon this mold it creates an Elemental of the appropriate type, up to Large size, and without the Extraplanar subtype until it first goes back to its associated elemental plane. Such elementals are friendly to you, but free willed, and typically will seek out a plane most resembling their home plane to reside in. Like awaken they are under no compulsion to follow your orders. These elementals have ability scores and abilities typical of their kind, and speak their native elemental tongue and one language you know. Elementals are not granted the bonus class level.

You remain dimly aware of creatures you have awakened yourself, and can identify them on sight.
