Heavy Coat[edit]

This trenchcoat was a bright crimson red, and draped over to my boots. It was stylish, but thick enough to catch a blade without poking too deep into my back. This would do.

  1. If the character has some help, cut this time in half. A single character doing nothing else can help one or two adjacent characters. Two characters can't help each other don armor at the same time.

Heavy coats are leather and other fabrics pressed together with hard plates or several layers of folded cloth. They are not merely the wild hides of thick-skinned creatures, yet they are far thicker and heavier than simple leathers. Many heavy coats have large sleeves and tailcoats, or are trenchcoats which cover most of the body and hang the weight off its sturdy shoulders.

Though medium armor, it is donned and removed as if it were light armor. Heavy coats also often are host to many small pockets and are good for concealing small objects. Concealing an item inside a heavy coat gains a +2 bonus.
