Hill Giant (5e)
From Dungeons and Dragons Wiki
5th edition (2014) Pointer +
Hill giants are selfish, dimwitted brutes that hunt forage, and raid in constant search of food.[1] Hill giants dwell in hills and mountain valleys across the world…[1]
Bigger Means Better[edit]
In a hill giant's world, humanoids and animals are easy prey to be hunted… Creatures such as dragons and other giants are tough adversaries. Hill giants equate size with power.[1]
Grolantor[edit]
The deity most revered by hill giants is Grolantor, the least of Annam's six sons[2]
Proud of his great strength (his only redeeming quality), Grolantor refused to recognize the superiority of his… siblings, and insisted on being treated as their equal. He [is known for] his endless hunger…[2]
Other Lore[edit]
Skin color among hill giants ranges from light tan to deep ruddy brown. Their hair is brown or black, with eyes the same color. Hill giants wear layers of crudely prepared hides with the fur left on. They seldom wash or repair their garments, preferring to simply add more hides as their old ones wear out.
Adults are about 10-1/2 feet tall and weigh about 1,100 pounds. Hill giants can live to be 200 years old.
