Idylean Smart Cube[edit]
A small golden cube made of vitalized livemetal, no bigger than an apple, it constantly make strange beeping noises. The Idylean Smart Cube is a portable V.I designed to aid the Idylean young gods in their journey outside of Idylis. Idylean Smart Cubes are virtual intelligence and essentially supercomputers. A much much more powerful and sentient version of the smart cube exist, called mother cubes but those are very rare and priced by the people of Idylis and are thus rarely given and then only to those who earned them.
An Idylean Smart Cube only serve Idylean young gods or their allies. Their main use is that they allow the deployment of a boom tube to Idylis, doing so require 10 minute of meddling with the cube. The cube also serve as an universal masterwork tool, it behave as a masterwork toolbag. It also allow for unlimited distance communication, allowing the possessor to use sending at will. The cube will also grant advice to the young deities, it has one personality as a psicrystal.
The cube is able interface with many Idylean technological items, this will be noted on any particular item's entry. It is capable of detecting any other cube within a 100 mile radius, scanning take a full-round action and duplicate find the path with the target being every other cubes within the radius (showing multiple paths). Once a cube is located, the user can use the sending to that cube user freely. The cube also possess a wide variety of mundane uses, having countless appliances such as a calculator or a few virtual games, this has no mechanical benefits unless the DM see fit.
If the cube is lost or broken, any remains (or the cube itself if stolen or lost) will plane shift to Idylis. The people there will repair and sent it to the original owner within 24 hours (typically teleporting it a few inches above their head, to remind them to take care of it).
A Idylean Smart Cube weight 3 lbs, has 60 hit points and hardness 10. Being made of vitalized livemetal it halves all cold, fire, electric, force, and sonic damage, takes full damage from acid. Positive energy effects repair it as if it were a living creature.
