Imperious Kaiser
An imperious kaiser is a powerful champion who seeks power in the form of conquest. While not always evil, they seek to assert domination over those weaker than them. While some imperious kaiser have ideals beyond conquest, they almost always use the same ruthless methods when quelling dissent. As a result they have the ability to enforce their will on others, and mentally assail those who stand up to them.
Class: Antipaladin
Level: 1st-17th
Replaces: Code of Conduct (Altered), Cruelty (Altered), Plague Bringer, Aura of Vengeance and Aura of Depravity
Benefit: An imperious kaiser gain access to the following class feature:
Code of Conduct: An imperious kaiser can be either lawful neutral, lawful evil or neutral evil. Her typical code of conduct is replaced:
- I may offer truly altruistic help, but only to those who aid me or to those who submit to my authority.
- I will punish anyone who fails to heed my commands or who disrespect me, unless doing so is to my advantage.
- Once I conquered I shall rule with an iron fist. I may be accepting counsel, however.
Cruelty (Su): An imperious kaiser must choose shaken as her 3rd level cruelty. At 6th level she may select commanded instead of diseased (which behaves as the command spell).
This ability alters the antpaladin's cruelties.
Iron Resolve (Ex): A 3rd level imperious kaiser has seen gruesome battlefields and dreams of conquest, she becomes immune to fear-effect (magical or otherwise) and morale penalties.
This ability replaces plague bringer.
Scornful Reprimand (Su): At 4th level, the imperious kaiser may use an immediate action to strike terror and submission in those who dare to oppose her. She may force any creature that was either damaged or damaged the imperious kaiser with a melee attack to make a Will save. On a failed save, the attacking creature may choose to either drop prone or take 1d6 psychic damage per 4 antipaladin levels. She may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma bonus. A successful save renders the target immune to a particular imperious kaiser's scornful order for 24 hours. This ability is a mind-affecting fear-effect.
This ability replaces channel negative energy.
Aura of Impending Conquest (Ex): At 11th level, the imperious kaiser's impending domination causes her foes to lose the will to approach or flee from her. All enemies that are under a fear-effect, who start their turn within 10 feet of the imperious kaiser have all their movement speed halved for 1 round.
This ability replaces aura of vengeance.
Aura of Reproval (Su): At 17th level, the imperious kaiser is able to inflict damage with nothing but a glare. Additionally as long as the imperious kaiser is conscious and not helpless, whenever a creature within 10-ft of the imperious kaiser deals damage to her, it is dealt psychic damage equal to the imperious kaiser's Charisma modifier. his ability applies only once per round per creature. This is a mind-affecting ability. The damage from aura of reproval stacks with the damage from scornful reprimand if applicable.
This ability replaces Aura of Depravity.
